Dear Friends,

Our Theme for the month of March is:

I have already shared that I am recovering from a health dive and the recovery is going well. I also wrote that I am drawing strongly from a similar experience in the past. Indeed, the knowledge I gained back then serves me well and will continue to do so.

However, I have a stronger and stronger sense that this new Journey is starting to take on a trajectory of its own, so I must be careful not to try and fully fit it into the old boxes. In other words, I must flow with it!

Please enjoy Lady Elizabeth’s striking sharing!

With all my love

Hello my friends,

Happy month, happy March, happy Saturday!

Change comes very rapidly these days, doesn’t it!? And so the need for fluidity can never be greater!

“Warriors know that even if they do not in the moment grasp what is actually taking place, they will in time uncover the true meaning of any incident, provided that they flow with it, and do not reject it. This is the real meaning of that concept known as fluidity.”

Last month I shared about my being in the unknown, wrestling with a “traveling” kneecap and working hard at what I can learn from it, other than forbearance!! And patience – not my strongest point 😀

Then 2 weeks ago I was to embark on a big journey and a couple of days before I left, I thought it would be impossible physically to undertake such a feat! This journey has been more than a year in the making and last year due to work circumstances I could not make it. So this year I decided that no matter what, I was going to Indonesia to meet with my friends!

There I was, due to leave on a journey that was going to take more than 24 hours – one flight of 11 hours, a very fast layover of less than 3 hours to swap terminals in a vast Dubai airport, then a further flight of 10 hours! Having experienced a setback in my healing program I knew this was going to entail sitting stationary for hours with a knee that needs to be angled at a certain angle so as not to experience pain.

So here I was determined to make the trip at the same time full of trepidation!

It just so happened that my company that I left 30 years ago! had invited me to a reunion and was insistent that as their only female director ever that they really wanted me there. As reticent as I was to go, something prompted me to accept the invitation at the last minute. Suffice it was to say I had a good time but most of all I bumped into somebody there that I had travelled with to China many years ago and when she heard about my malady of trying to get across airports at lightning speed with my gammy knee, she suggested that I ask for assistance, something she had done and never regretted.

This was so outside of my frame of reference – “You mean I ask the airline for assistance?” Lol!

Well this is exactly what I did! And it is the best thing I could have done in the circumstances. The service I experienced was absolutely impeccable and I felt very held and looked after from the moment I arrived in Dubai, stiff and sore, until I met with my taxi driver at Bali airport.

Now that I have been here for 2 weeks with my friends I have experienced nothing but support and encouragement to continue with my healing regime, whilst at the same time having fun and all important friendship, true healing, in and of itself 😀

“BELIEF IS NOT BLIND FAITH – BELIEF IS A POWERFUL ACT OF MAGIC.

Choosing to believe that it is possible to transmute one’s view of the world is an act which is simple enough, but through this simple act the apprentice achieves his first act of magic; namely, believing in himself, in the true sense of the word. From that moment on he starts to become a free and totally fluid being.”

Have fun with our theme this month, my friends!

With all my love and warmth from a tropical Bali,
Elizabeth
